Kenilworth Studios

If you ever have a chance to tour the Kenilworth studios during gallery night, do it! My intro to painting professor, Kay Knight, took us on a tour of her studio today. It is really great to see the work of the people who are teaching and grading you. A bunch of grad student's studios are there as well. I believe the next gallery night is in mid July, so definitly check it out.

Kaleidoscope

I taught myself recently how to take a still picture and turn it into a Kaleidoscope using QuickTime, very cool!!!! This semester I've really enjoyed learning about crossing genres of filmmaker, photographer, artist and doing something unique that you don't see everyone else doing.

In that spirit I give you this work and I hope you like it. :)

Fake Photography??? An Architectural Image

I had the opportunity to visit an architectural and furniture rendering firm in Chicago where I saw some pretty realistic computer renderings. I saw the process involved in creating these photographic-like images and is it time consuming! This complex process really expresses architecture with a realistic flare using the computer. I'm interested to see where realistic imagery will take us in the future.

Vending Machine Art
"Wouldn't it be great if kids spent a dollar on art instead of a candy bar? Imagine how exciting it would be to find a work of art from an artist you admire for $2. Hotcakes rotates shows of work in the gallery's 2 vending machines." For more information about Hotcakes' Map Machine go here...vending machine fun!
